PCI SAQ B-IP
PCI DSS Self-Assessment Questionnaire B-IP, for merchants using standalone IP-connected payment terminals.
SAQ B-IP applies to merchants that accept payments only through standalone, PTS-approved payment terminals that connect to the acquirer over an IP network. The terminals are validated point-of-interaction devices and the merchant stores no cardholder data electronically, but because the devices are network-connected the assessment adds basic network and device-security expectations that SAQ B does not require.
SAQ B-IP covers a moderate subset of PCI DSS v4.0.1, addressing the protection and monitoring of the approved terminals and the simple network segment they use, while remaining far narrower than the questionnaires that apply to full payment application environments.
Use only PTS-approved point-of-interaction terminals, keep an inventory and protect them from tampering and substitution.
Secure and, where appropriate, segment the network the terminals use, including firewalling and secure configuration.
Physically protect terminals and periodically inspect them for signs of skimming or tampering.
Confirm that no cardholder data is retained electronically in the merchant environment.
