Identify whether the organisation acts as a PII controller, a PII processor or both, and apply the corresponding Annex A or Annex B controls.
Address lawful basis and consent, data subject rights, transparency, and privacy-by-design obligations owed by controllers.
Implement processing safeguards, act only on documented instructions, support controller obligations, and manage sub-processors.
Extend the ISO/IEC 27001 management system to cover privacy risks, records of processing and privacy-specific responsibilities.
